Twice Impeached Trump Convicted In New York Court

Former twice impeached president Donald Trump was unanimously convicted on all 34 counts related to business fraud in New York. The jury took less than 10 hours to reach their verdict. This landmark ruling marks a significant moment in our American legal and political history, as Trump becomes the first former disgraced president to be convicted of criminal charges.

The charges stem from an investigation into Trump’s business dealings, particularly focusing on allegations of falsified records and financial statements. Prosecutors argued that Trump engaged in a pattern of deception to secure loans and inflate his net worth, benefiting his business empire and personal wealth, as well as defrauding the people of the truth about his integrity and character.

The trial, which has been closely followed by the media and the public, revealed extensive evidence presented by the prosecution. Key witnesses included former Trump Organization executives and financial experts who detailed the fraudulent activities. Documents and emails were also submitted as evidence, painting a comprehensive picture of the alleged scheme.

Trump’s defense team argued that the charges were politically motivated and that the former president was being unfairly targeted. They pointed to his previous roles in public office as an impeached president and his status as a prominent political figure under a cloud of criminal investigations. Despite their efforts, the jury found Trump guilty on all 34 counts.

The conviction could have significant implications for Trump, both legally and politically. Sentencing is expected to take place in the coming months, with potential penalties ranging from hefty fines to possible imprisonment. The ruling also raises questions about Trump’s future in politics, as a criminal conviction may impact his ability to run for office again.

The irony being that everything that Trump wanted to happed to Joe Biden through falsehoods is now happening to him in real time because of evidence, much of it straight from the horses mouth, Trump himself. Trump wanted to coerce President Zelenskyy to lie by withholding funding given to Ukraine by Congress, so that Trump could say Biden was under investigation. Of course Zelenskyy is nothing like Trump, having integrity, courage and character, qualities Trump has never exhibited; Zelenskyy did not give in to Trump’s pressure and subsequently Trump was impeached for the scheme.

Reaction to the conviction has been polarized. Supporters of Trump denounced the verdict, calling it a continuation of the “witch hunt” against him. Railing against our legal system and threatening instead of reasoning. Meanwhile, critics of the former president viewed the ruling as a triumph of justice and accountability. Democracy works and Trump is not a king. This is a slap in the face to Putin and fascists everywhere.

Legal experts note that this case could set a precedent for how former presidents are held accountable for their actions once out of office. The conviction underscores the principle that no one, regardless of their status, is above the law. And the ridiculous notion that Trump should have absolute immunity is an indictment of his authoritarian tendencies and his total loyalty to his own greed.

This trial is one of several legal challenges Trump has faced since leaving the White House. He is also dealing with ongoing investigations and lawsuits related to other aspects of his personal and business conduct. The outcome of these cases could further shape his legacy and influence his standing in American politics. At the same time We The People are proving that American’s wanting a dictator is simply a Putin wet dream that will never happen.

As our nation grapples with the ramifications of this historic conviction, discussions about legal reforms and the integrity of the judicial system are likely to intensify. The case serves as a reminder of the complexities and challenges involved in prosecuting high-profile figures.

Trump’s legal team has indicated plans to appeal the verdict, seeking to overturn the conviction. The appeals process could extend the legal battle for months or even years, continuing to keep Trump’s legal troubles in the spotlight.

In the wake of the conviction, pundits are watching closely to see how Trump’s magat supporters and the carcass of what’s left of the Republican Party will respond. The ruling could potentially reshape the dynamics within the party and influence the 2024 presidential race.
