The House select committee was still investigating the January 6 attack prior to shutting down in January 2023, and it is possible that Jordan will be called to testify before another committee in the future. If Jordan is called to testify, he will likely be asked about his conversations with Trump and other members of Congress on January 6. The committee is also likely to continue to investigate Jordan’s role in the events leading up to the attack.
If the committee found that Jordan was involved in the attack, it could recommend that he be charged with a crime. The investigation into Jim Jordan and January 6 is ongoing concern, and it is unclear what the outcome will be. However, the investigation is likely to have a significant impact on Jordan’s political career and on Trump’s already weaken reputation.
